![]() ![]() ![]() This time, I decided to play a ROM hack of Emerald, known as Pokémon Glazed. ![]() It was a pretty decent adventure, but it suffered from balancing issues that made things frustrating instead of actually challenging. I’ve played a few in the past, but the only one that I’ve completed until now was Pokémon Ruby Destiny: Life of Guardians. Thus, I decided to dive back into Pokémon ROM hacks to see if any of them could give me what I was looking for in a Pokémon game. It’s not like in the older games where you could stumble upon a cave or a Dive location that would lead to new hidden areas or even legendary Pokémon. As I mentioned in my post detailing my thoughts on the latest Pokémon games, there are (currently) no big secrets and no out of the way areas to explore. While I did enjoy the changes, additions, and updates to the game, the sense of wonder and adventure from the days of Generations I to III just isn’t there. 2019’s Pokémon Sword & Shield were… disappointing in a number of ways. ![]()
